Sartorial Blur is US-based online publication dedicated to showing the best in luxury, craftsmanship, fashion and lifestyle. Established in 2022, Sartorial Blur serves as a collection of thoughts, ideas, inspiration, and information from the curator, John Hubler.
The name “Sartorial Blur” was specifically chosen to pay tribute to the often fuzzy lines between fashion, grooming, and lifestyle. There’s no question that a man’s car, house, attire, grooming and accessories are all part of his overall “style”, and Sartorial Blur exists to showcase items in each of those categories that we feel are exceptional.
Occasionally, I will do product reviews. These products may be products that I’ve purchased and tried, or they may be products that were given to me by a sponsor. Regardless of the method of acquisition, I am completely committed to giving honest, unbiased reviews – highlighting both the good and the bad. Furthermore, I will never review, endorse, or dismiss a product that I have not personally tried.
Too often, publications produce content more for the sake of hitting a quota, versus providing real value. I am committed to quality first and foremost, and will only publish original content that I feel is of the highest quality. This is not a content aggregation site. All content published on this site will be completely original, and never reposted from another source.
Similar sites that focus on high-end or luxury goods often promote luxury items, not so much in terms of their practicality or quality – but simply because they are from high-end designer brands. In my eyes, price does not automatically imply quality, and I will never showcase products that I feel are outside the realm of practicality for “most” men. I believe that a lot of the products that come from the world of high fashion are often ridiculous, and completely impractical for the average man – and I will never highlight items such as these simply because they come from luxury or designer brands. Put simply: if I wouldn’t buy it or own it myself… I will never promote it.
Born in Pennsylvania, I completed my formal education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where I studied multimedia & web design.
My career began as a web-designer, where I designed and developed websites for hundreds of schools and small to medium-sized businesses. After 13 years of working for other agencies, I opened my own agency, Right Creative.
Sartorial Blur began as a side project that enabled me to showcase my love for all things that have to do with mens style, grooming, accessories, and craftsmanship.
Outside of my work with Right Creative and Sartorial Blur, I live with my beautiful wife Shawna and my spoiled Pomeranian Nugget, surrounded by the scenic Appalachian mountains.
