With spring freshness in the air and warmer weather on the way, I find myself, perhaps out of habit, wanting to rid my house of clutter. In fact – I find myself, more and more subscribing to a minimalist mindset; removing everything I don’t love, to make way for the things that I do love. Spending less on the things I like, so I can save and spend more on the things I LOVE. And so... on that note – here are five things that I am LOVING this month.
It was pure happenstance that I came across these inks from Montblanc. They are infused with fragrances, to enhance the experience of both writing and receiving handwritten correspondence. I was a little skeptical at first at how much the fragrance would carry through. Not that I wanted it to be overwhelmingly strong – but enough to be noticed. I am pleased to say that they achieved a very good balance. The scent is subtle, yet distinctly noticeable.

I first became aware of this gorgeous plaid fabric several months ago, when Simon Crompton posted about it on his website, Permanent Style. This month, I finally bit the bullet, and purchased three meters, to have a custom blazer made from it. While the blazer won’t be ready for a couple of months, just seeing the fabric in person has me so excited about how beautiful a garment it’s going to make.

My wife bought me these headphones as a birthday gift, and I’ve used them nearly every day since. I had grown accustomed to my Apple AirPods… so revisiting an over-the-ear headphone experience reminded me of just how great music can sound, with the rest of the world being drown out.

I have tried dozens of varieties of caviar, across several different brands. I now keep a journal of every new type and brand that I try, so I can keep track of my favorites. Color me surprised then to discover that despite trying many of the more expensive, select grades of caviar, that I continue to come back to this inexpensive domestic caviar time and time again. I absolutely love the mild flavor… and the fact that it is so reasonably priced means I can enjoy it much more often, in greater quantities.
